In 2011, I was a struggling single mom of two boys, living on welfare, going to school to be an elementary education teacher. A friend of mine suggested that I look into doing eyelash extensions for some extra money. I hadn’t worked in the beauty industry in 5 years, because I stayed home with my kids until my divorce. I had not heard of eyelash extensions and she recommended them as they were such a booming beauty service. I started researching different brands and training programs. I chose Xtreme Lashes because I saw their dedication to the clients' lash health as well as the high quality products they offered. I was sold! I borrowed the money from my mom and took the training as soon as I could. Once I was trained, I started advertising to potential clients. I started traveling to peoples homes and had them come to my home. Within a year, I had a full business Glitzy Lashes, running in downtown Denver. I graduated with my degree in elementary education, but I had found my true calling with eyelash extensions. I had never considered being a business owner, but I found my passion for eyelashes and for business. I will never look back. Now, I am able to provide for my two children and enjoy my work every day. My clients and Xtreme Lashes are my family. I am forever grateful with how taking the Xtreme Lashes training and deciding to venture into eyelash extensions has changed my life and that of my children.
